This one has popped up on some of my recent playlists and I have re-fallen in love.
Released in 2006, Hot Chip's second studio album had some classics like And I Was A Boy from School and Over and Over, but the title track off of it should not be forgotten.
The Warning explores the theme of contradiction as well as "slower and darker aspects of electronic music" with the use of strange violence in songs. This technique is best depicted in this song which uses an antithesis of soft glockenspiel notes contrasted against violent and melancholy lyrics.
