Caribou's Swim: Best Album of 2010?

Upon first listen, I immediately loved the first couple songs I heard off of this Caribou album, especially Kaili, Swim and Odessa. As I dove deeper into Swim (pun intended) and listened to it all the way through a few times, it is beyond great.

Swim is only nine songs long and starts oddly enough with my early favorite tracks; Odessa and Swim. But the last two tracks, Lalibela and Jamelia, are the ones that leave that lasting imprint of Swim that put it into another category of beautiful modern music.

Caribou has made a strong case of why this should be in the discussion with Tame Impala, LCD, Arcade Fire, The National and Yeasayer as the best album of 2010.

Take a listen to the final tracks on the album below and I challenge you to disagree.

Caribou- Lalibela

Caribou- Jamelia
