Covering The Weeknd is a pretty ballsy move, considering Abel Tesfaye's unique voice, the group's esoteric aesthetic, as well as their status as gods in the blogosphere. But what can we say? Ellie Goulding's got some big ones. Produced by Chiddy Bang beatmaker, Xaphoon Jones, Goulding's version maintains the dark coolness of the original while easing up on its edginess. It's a worthy cover, and we gotta tip our caps to Ms. Goulding. Hear it below:
